Warranty Tracker is made by one person. Write to that address and you get a real reply, usually within a couple of days.
What to tell me
You do not have to be technical about it. Say what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. If you can, add which iPhone you have and which version of iOS — you will find both in the iPhone’s own Settings, under General, then About. A photo of the screen helps more than a description.
Never send me a password. I will never ask you for one.
The common questions
What happens when I get a new phone?
You keep everything. Save a backup file from Settings and restore it on the new phone — it carries every item, every date and every receipt photo across. Backup and restore are free, not a Pro feature, and they keep working even if a subscription lapses. Your iPhone’s own iCloud or computer backup includes the app too, so a normal device transfer brings it along as well.
Does it work offline?
Entirely. There is no server to reach — everything happens on your iPhone, including reading a receipt photo. Aeroplane mode changes nothing.
Do you see my receipts?
No, and I could not if I wanted to. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and there are no analytics in the app. The privacy policy says the same thing in full.
I am not getting reminders
Two switches have to be on. First, the iPhone itself has to allow notifications for the app: open the iPhone’s Settings, find Warranty Tracker in the list, tap Notifications and turn Allow Notifications on. Second, inside the app, open Settings and check the reminder switches are on. If reminders are switched off at either level, the app tells you so on the item’s own screen rather than pretending an alert is coming.
How do I turn reminders off?
In the app: Settings, then the reminder switches. Turning them off cancels everything already scheduled, so nothing arrives afterwards. You can turn them back on at any time and the app rebuilds them.
What does Pro add?
Three things, and only three: as many items as you like instead of the free 25, the app reading the store, date and total off a receipt photo so you do not have to type them in, and the Protection Report — a PDF of everything you own, yours to keep or send on. Everything else is free and always was: reminders, receipt photos, backup and restore, the spreadsheet export, the claim kit, the widget and Spotlight search.
What happens if I stop paying?
None of your data is locked, hidden or deleted. Every item, receipt and reminder you already filed stays exactly where it is, and you can still back it up, restore it and export the spreadsheet. What stops is the three Pro things: adding new items beyond the free limit of 25, having a receipt photo read for you, and the Protection Report PDF. They come back the moment you subscribe again.
How do I cancel, or change my plan?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by me, so the switch sits in your Apple account rather than at my end. The quickest way there is inside the app: open its Settings and tap Manage subscription. Or start from the iPhone: open Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, and choose Warranty Tracker. You can switch between monthly and yearly or cancel from there. Apple’s own guide is at support.apple.com. Cancelling stops the next payment; you keep Pro until the period you have already paid for runs out.
I paid before, on another phone
Open the app’s Settings and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with. That asks Apple what you own and puts Pro back.
A refund
Refunds are Apple’s to give, not mine — I never see your payment details. Ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something in the app is what went wrong, email me too and I will try to fix it.
Why is it called “Warranties” on my home screen?
The short name fits better under the icon. It is the same app.
Is there an Android version?
Not at the moment — it is an iPhone app, built for iOS 18 and later.
Deleting your data
There is no account to close, because there never was one. Everything the app holds is on your iPhone. Deleting the app removes all of it, and nothing of yours is left anywhere else. If you want a copy first, save a backup file from Settings before you delete.
